STEPtember:
STEPtember (steptember.org.au) is a fundraising initiative owned and operated by Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA).
The Challenge:
1. The challenge starts on 1 September 2024 and ends on 30 September 2024.
2. To be eligible to receive a reward, STEPtember fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below (under "Rewards") by Sunday 11:59pm AEDT on Wednesday 2 October 2024.
3. Any additional fundraising activity must be completed by 11:59pm AEST on Thursday 31 October 2024, and funds raised as part of the campaign must be banked before this date. The STEPtember fundraising pages will remain open until 11:59pm AEST on Thursday 31 October 2024.
4. While participating in this challenge may have health benefits, STEPtember provides no warranty whatsoever that this challenge will achieve an individual's health goals. The challenge has not been developed with any individual's particular health requirements in consideration.
5. Do not rely on the information provided in relation to the STEPtember challenge as an alternative to medical advice from a doctor or other professional healthcare provider. If participants have any specific health or medical concerns, they should consult with their medical or healthcare provider, prior to changing their diet, nutrition, or exercise regimen.
6. While Cerebral Palsy Alliance has made every attempt to ensure that the information provided as part of the STEPtember challenge has been obtained from reliable sources, Cerebral Palsy Alliance is not responsible for any errors or omissions, or for the results obtained from the use of this information.
Agreement:
I/We understand the terms and conditions under which any fundraising activities benefiting Cerebral Palsy Alliance need to operate. I/We have read Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s terms and conditions and offer to participate in STEPtember in accordance with those terms and conditions.
By agreeing to these Terms of Fundraising you acknowledge:
1. Will be solely responsible for all your activities on the steptember.org.au site also referred to as the Site.
2. No person under the age of 18 may use steptember.org.au to donate or fundraise, unless the permission of a parent or guardian is sought to participate in the challenge.
3. You do not have any pending/current charges or past criminal convictions relating to a sexual offence. You do not have any convictions of a violent nature or assault. You have never been convicted, with or without trial of, pleaded guilty or no contest to a theft or fraud charge. You are not currently awaiting or attending a trial or been arrested for a theft, fraud charge, sexual offence, assault or crime of a violent nature.
4. You will be solely responsible for all your activities on the steptember.org.au site also referred to as the Site;
5. You have the legal capacity to enter these terms;
6. You will keep all passwords, account names, log in identifiers required to access steptember.org.au secure and confidential;
7. You will not use steptember.org.au in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the site or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way.
8. You will not use the site to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation;
9. You will not use the Site to conduct, display or forward details of any survey, contest, pyramid scheme or chain letter or use any part of our Site to send commercial messages in contradiction of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)
10. You will not attempt to modify, adapt, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any portion of the site, any associated website or any other website.
11. You will not hide, deface, alter or delete any copyright symbol, trademark or other proprietary rights notice;
12. You will not use any part of the Site which you are not authorised to use or devise ways to circumvent security in order to access part of the Site which you are not authorised to access. This includes, but is not limited to, scanning networks with the intent to breach and/or evaluate security, whether or not the intrusion results in access.
13. You will not use or attempt to use the Site for any unlawful, criminal or negligent purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, password cracking, social engineering (defrauding others into releasing their passwords), denial-of-service attacks, harmful and malicious destruction of data, infringing the intellectual property rights of any person, and injection of computer viruses and intentional invasion of privacy.
14. Cerebral Palsy Alliance requires that there be no door-to-door appeals, street collections or telephone solicitation of any kind to the public in connection with the STEPtember challenge.
15. You agree to comply with all applicable Fundraising Acts, other laws, regulations and by-laws (including all applicable privacy laws) and any other conditions which we may notify to you. In participating in the STEPtember challenge, you agree to refrain from doing anything which may reasonably be expected to damage the goodwill, reputation or integrity of Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
16. Any prizes, incentives or rewards will only be able to be claimed or rewarded until Friday 15th November. No claiming, sending or redrawing of these rewards or prizes will occur after this date.
Disclaimer:
Cerebral Palsy Alliance reserves the right to withdraw approval to fundraise should it be necessary to protect its reputation.
Activity Leaderboards (updated 25.09.2024)
At STEPtember, we are committed to upholding the integrity of the challenge and ensuring fair competition. As part of this commitment, any suspicious or unusually high volumes of logged activities will be investigated. If participants are unable to provide valid GPS evidence, the STEPtember team, in partnership with Cerebral Palsy Alliance, reserves the right to remove the activities and/or impose daily step limits. These measures are designed to ensure that STEPtember remains a positive and fair challenge for all participants.
Feedback Survey - Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
1.All registered STEPtember participants who meet the following requirements will be in the draw to win one the following prizes:
One of 10 ‘Treat Yo Self ‘Packs
1 x pair of Brooks Running Shoes (RRP $229)
1 x $100 Iconic voucher

2. Winners must be a current participant of the STEPtember 2024 campaign, complete the end of campaign survey, and provide their details for the prize draw during the survey.
5. 10 overall winners will be chosen to win the major prize, as above.
6. Prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are not transferrable.
7. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
8. Winners will be chosen by the STEPtember team randomly on Monday 4th November, at 187 Allambie Road, Allambie Heights NSW 2100. Winners will be notified by phone and email. Prizes will be shipped to the winner’s Australian mailing list and vouchers emailed to the nominated email address.
9. If a prize is unclaimed, a redraw will take place on Thursday 31 November 2024 at the same location as the original draw. Winners of any redraw will be notified by phone and email. Any unclaimed prizes from this date will not be redrawn.

Dinner and Drinks Draw - Terms and Conditions
1. Entry is open to all Australian residents who register as a participant for STEPtember at steptember.org.au, that are sent the ‘Dinner & Drinks’ incentive email, who make or receive a donation of $5 or more to their own individual fundraising page between Thursday 26 September and Sunday 29 September, midnight AEST.
2. Every $5 donation made or received will count as (1) entry into the draw.
3. Prize is one of 20 ‘Dinner and Drinks Packages’ consisting of

Wednesday 25 September Dollar Match Day – Terms and Conditions
1. All registered donors who meet the following requirements (2, 3) will automatically receive a "match" on their donation of the same amount donated.
2. Dollar Match is open to all donors who make a donation up to max. $500 during the period, until a $173,000 cap is reached. Donations made on Facebook fundraisers, or the general donation page will not be matched.
3. Period: 10am AEST Wednesday 25th September until cap is reached
4. If the $173,000 cap is reached prior to 5pm AEST Wednesday 25th September an announcement will be made on STEPtember’s Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn Page, Private Facebook Group, and in app notification to current participants.

'Memorable Moves Week' Prizes - Terms and Conditions
1. All registered STEPtember participants who meet the following requirements will be in the draw to win one the following prizes:

2. Winners must be a current participant of the STEPtember 2024 campaign, and a member of the private STEPtember Facebook group.
3. They must participate in the ‘Memorable Moves’ Week starting Monday 16th September, ending Friday 20th. Participation includes posting images related to each daily challenge in the group.
4. One winner will be chosen per day as an ‘Honorable Mention’ leading to 5 winners overall, the prize being as above.

2. Participants must sign up between Wednesday 17th July and Saturday 31 August 11:59pm AEST 2024 to be eligible to go into the draw to win.
3. All Cerebral Palsy Alliance employees and directors who work on STEPtember and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Executive Management Team, are ineligible to enter.
4. Prizes is 1 of 20 packs (value $294 each):

1. Entry is open to all Australian residents who register as a participant for STEPtember at steptember.org.au, who make a self-donation or receive a donation within 48 hours of registering.
2. Participants fulfilling these requirements between Monday 15th July 17 July and Monday 30 September 11:59pm AEST 2024 are automatically entered into the draw.
3. All Cerebral Palsy Alliance employees and directors who work on STEPtember and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Executive Management Team, are ineligible to enter.
4. There are 48 prizes to be won, these are:
1 of 8 x Walking Pad (value $200 each)
1 of 10 x Under desk elliptical/pedal trainer (value $50 each)
1 of 30 x 3-month Audible Subscription (value $49 each)

Fundraise $110 – Terms and Conditions
1. Entry is open to all registered STEPtember participants who raise $110. Participants fulfilling these requirements are automatically entered into the draw.
2. Participants fulfilling these requirements between Wednesday 10 July and Wednesday 2 October 11:59pm AEDT 2024 are automatically entered into the draw.
3. All Cerebral Palsy Alliance employees and directors who work on STEPtember and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Executive Management Team, are ineligible to enter.
4. Prize includes 1 x STEPtember Luxury getaway package consisting of $1250 Flight Centre voucher AND $1250 Get Away voucher (total value $2500).
5. Prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prize is not transferable.

Fundraise $1000 – Terms and Conditions
1. Entry is open to all registered STEPtember participants who raise $1000. Participants fulfilling these requirements are automatically entered into the draw.
2. Participants fulfilling these requirements between Wednesday 10 July and Wednesday 2 October 11:59pm AEDT 2024 are automatically entered into the draw.
3. All Cerebral Palsy Alliance employees and directors who work on STEPtember and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Executive Management Team, are ineligible to enter.
4. Prize includes: 1 of 10 x Red Balloon Vouchers (value $300).
5. Prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prize is not transferable.
6. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
