STEPtember 24

FOR PEOPLE WITH CEREBRAL PALSY.

This year, I’m STEPping up to support people with cerebral palsy by taking on the STEPtember challenge for Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA).

A baby is born with cerebral palsy every day. They will have problems with movement, and many will have intellectual disability, seizures, problems with vision, hearing or speech. 1 in 2 are in chronic pain, 1 in 3 can’t walk, and 1 in 4 can’t talk.

I’ve committed to moving my way to 10,000 steps every day of September, rain or shine, to fund a wide range of research, services and assistive technology initiatives, supporting babies, children and adults with cerebral palsy to live their best lives.

With your support, CPA can provide early detection and intervention therapy which can drastically improve the future of these babies’ lives. It could be the difference between whether a child can walk or talk.

I’ve set myself a goal to raise $5000. Could you chip in a donation today to help me on my way?  Even a small donation of $1 will go towards making a big impact.

If you can spare  more here is a short list of some of the ways your donations can help:

$34 could provide a family with a webcam so they can access early intervention therapy online.

$62 could help fund an adaptive singing giraffe toy that teaches letters, numbers and songs.

$110 could help fund a technology driven early intervention therapy kit for babies at risk of CP.

$225 could cover the cost of a baby's first consult at a CPA Early Diagnosis Clinic.

Thanks in advance! Together, we can make a real impact!

Why STEPtember is important to me

Every 20 hours, an Australian child is diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

I'm STEPing up this September to fundraise to support Cerebral Palsy Alliance in their mission to help people with cerebral palsy live their best lives.

STEPtember participants are passionate about being healthy, building a more inclusive world and making a life-changing impact for people with cerebral palsy.

Will you STEP up with me for cerebral palsy?
