STEPtember 24

FOR PEOPLE WITH CEREBRAL PALSY.

Moving towards 10,000 steps a day is one heck of a challenge! But each move will be made easier knowing it's all for a very worthy cause. Every dollar I raise will support life-changing research, treatment, services and assistive technologies to help people with cerebral palsy. Please help me support this great cause, and let's STEP up together, for cerebral palsy.

1 day before the end

Monday 30th Sep

It is only 1 day left before the end of the challenge, and I am proud to have made 331,163 steps so far. This has been a real challenge for me, as I often find myself sitting behind a desk and not moving much.

To reach my step count, I used many different methods: walking to the shop or gym, taking scenic walks, walking 18 km on Rarotonga Island while visiting local shops and finding hidden beaches, cycling around the island (31 km), and hiking across it.

I also discovered that doing housework is a great way to accumulate steps. Yesterday, I counted over 13,000 steps just from doing chores around the house and making small repairs.

Why STEPtember is important to me

Every 20 hours, an Australian child is diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

I'm STEPing up this September to fundraise to support Cerebral Palsy Alliance in their mission to help people with cerebral palsy live their best lives.

STEPtember participants are passionate about being healthy, building a more inclusive world and making a life-changing impact for people with cerebral palsy.

Will you STEP up with me for cerebral palsy?
